Consists of the engrossed Public Acts of Michigan for the years 1836-1949, as signed by the Secretary of the Senate, Clerk of the House of Representatives, and approved by the Governor. Pristine copies. Duly enrolled and filed with the Office of the Great Seal. Alternative title: Session laws, 1836-1949. Series 2 of RG 83-49. Record of Laws, 1835-1845. 5 volumes. (Indexed by Volume 122). Comprised of handwritten copies of all laws passed by the Michigan legislature from 1835 through 1845. This includes the same information as found in Series 1. The accompanying index is organized chronologically, with the short title of the acts listed thereunder in numerical order. Series 3 of RG 83-49. Revised Statutes, 1837-1838, 1946. 5 volumes. This series is simply a handwritten version of the Michigan Compiled Laws for the years indicated. The first set was "prepared and arranged by the Hon. William A. Fletcher," whereas the second set has been approved and sealed by the Secretary of State. Arranged numerically by title, chapter, and section.
